Kingsoft Releases Online Translation Software WPS 2007

Chinese software company Kingsoft released new translation software WPS Office 2007 on Thursday, reports Donews. WPS Office 2007 firstly provides online translation function. It takes Kingsoft about two years to develop WPS Office 2007 after it’s 2005 version, and the WPS Office 2007 has more than one language versions including English and Japanese.

EMC To Open Three New Branches And One R&D Center Before October

Information storage and management solutions provider EMC plans to set up a new R&D center in Beijing Zhongguancun in October and open three branches in Xi’an, Wuhan, and Shenyang from September to October, according to EMC Greater China president Ye Chenghui, reports Donews. The three new branches will focus on medium and small corporate clients.

Tom-Eachnet Releases New C2C Platform

Online C2C website Tom-Eachnet CEO Wang Leilei announced the official release of it’s new platform in Shanghai on Thursday, reports Sina. The new platform started it’s beta test from July this year. According to Wang, the new platform will also adopt free policy, the service will be free to common sellers, while Tom-Eachnet will charge service fee to professional sellers who need more trading tools and services than common users.

According to Wang, Eachnet will take up 35% to 40% Chinese C2C market shares in six months, which means Eachnet need to double it’s market shares in six months.

Hangzhou based business-to-business (B2B) website operator Zhejiang NetSun Company Limited (002095.SZ) bought 20% shares of Chinese mechanism knowledge sharing website mechnet.com recently, reports ChinaByte. It is the first case for NetSun recruiting industry website through buying stock shares. Mechnet recorded 540 million Yuan revenues and 63309 corporate members in 2006. NetSun controlled Chinese clothing website efu.com.cn in June 2007.
