Giant Will Get Listed On New York Stock Exchange In November 1

Hi, guys, The National Day is over and we came back. There are a lot of things happened recently. Now I will give you a news about a great company which’s name is Giant Interactive Group. As its name, Giant Interactive Group is very like a Giant in China. Giant’s chief leader Shi Yuzhu is known to Chinese as his legendary experience of business start-up. Shi got the first pot of gold from his product “HanKa(Chinese)” in the initial stage of China’s reform and opening. Giant entered into online game in 2005.

After two years, Giant Interactive Group will  get listed on New York Stock Exchange in november 1st this year.  Giant are one of China’s leading online game developers and operators. Their online game ZT Online was the most popular online game in China in 2006. Giant focus on massively multiplayer online, or MMO, games that are played through networked game servers in which tens of thousands of players are able to simultaneously connect and interact.

Baidu launchs Online Games Channel

Recently the entry of online games channel emgers on Baidu’s pages. Online games channal is a new product of Baidu. According to Chenfeng, a manager of Baidu, they pay great attention to user’s experience. And Baidu defines the new product as “online games search and community”. “This product bases on Baidu Search Engine, so there is hardly artificial management and the form still follows “simplicity and dependence”. Someone who is on homepage of the games channel can find the games who wants through less than four pages.” said Zhang Yi, another developer.

Currently the profitable model of this product is mainly advertising, but they want to try others model in the future.

Baidu To Be Released Online Game

A source says that Baidu (NASDAQ: BIDU) is making preparations for online game channel secretly and plans to release it in two months. One of the known game website 17173’s founders has switched his careers to Baidu to be in charge of the online game business.

According to analysts, Baidu coming into the game field will integrate itself Search, Tieba and so on.
